Action and Event Cards

New Bucharest uses a card system to determine the flow of the story. There are two types of cards:

Action Cards: Draw an Action Card whenever your character tries to do something. The Action Card determines the success the character's action.
Event Cards: Draw an Event Card whenever you want, e.g., when your plot reaches a dead end or when you want to add a new (random) plot element to your story. Choose the time to draw an Event Card carefully. Once drawn, the event described in the event card takes place and can affect your story drastically.
